Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant And Bar

This is the best Ethiopian restaurant that we have ever experienced! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is magnificent. Hannah went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her recommendation enabled us to try small portions of each special dish. We will be new regular customers at Lucy from now on. Highly recommend giving it a try.

If you love Ethiopian food, then I have a word for you. Authentic! Authentic! Authentic! Everything about this place was authentic, from the atmosphere, to the food, to the people. The portion sizes were incredible. Either go there starving or take a friend with you, because you won't be able to finish it on your own. You'll end up having the leftovers that will feed you for two other meals, like it did me. And did I mention that this place is vegetarian friendly? I got the veggie combo. It came with spinach, salad, beets, cabbage, and two different kinds of lentils. Amazing! You some won't be disappointed.

For my second stop on my Vegas Ethiopian mini food tour, I visited Lucy’s Ethiopian Restaurant and ordered the veggie platter. The injera was tasty and well made — a little more acidic than I prefer, but still delicious. The legume stews were cooked nicely with good texture and mild flavor. The cabbage and carrot mix was tender but a bit light on seasoning, and the Gomen was the one real disappointment — they seemed more like steamed spinach rather than the slow-cooked, spice-rich greens I typically expect. That said, the atmosphere here is wonderful — lively, family-oriented, and full of energy. There’s a bar and a social, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to see why people love gathering here. Overall, I’d say Lucy’s is a solid second to Gursha in terms of food quality, but it’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a fun, casual night out with friends or family and still want a comforting Ethiopian meal

Plenty of space and doesn’t feel crowded. Service was pleasant and was around when we needed them, but not too much to be annoying. Food was a knockout! Full of flavor, ample portions with more than adequate variety

If you’re in Las Vegas and craving Ethiopian cuisine, Lucy Ethiopian Restaurant is a decent choice. Tucked away in a quieter neighborhood just off the Strip, it’s easy to find with plenty of parking. We discovered it thanks to our Eritrean cab driver, who highly recommended it. We ordered a veggie combo and two samosas, which were the perfect portions for our family of three. The food had a home-style touch, satisfying without feeling heavy—something we appreciated. The service was surprisingly quick, especially for an Ethiopian restaurant, and the staff was warm and welcoming. That said, there’s room for improvement. The women’s restroom was clogged during our visit, and while the flavors were enjoyable, they could have been a bit more complex. As someone who regularly cooks Ethiopian food and has dined at nearly every Ethiopian restaurant in NYC and Los Angeles, I’d say Lucy is a good option if you’re craving hearty vegetarian dishes or Ethiopian fare in Las Vegas.

Authentic and delicious meal. The service was fabulous. We had an attentive and kind server and were checked on frequently but never felt rushed. An enjoyable dining experience. We had the vegetable combination platter and meat combination platter and coffee after dinner. It was more than enough for dinner, even with three hungry teenage boys. We left full and content. We will be back!

My husband wanted to try something “new” I’ve eaten the food before but not at this location. It was delicious! We ordered 1 meat combo, 1 meat and veggie combo and 1 veggie combo. If we would have ordered two combo platters it would have been enough for the 4 of us.
